Crisis Support Chair
The Crisis Support Chair serves as a compassionate and dedicated advocate for families facing difficult times, including loss, illness, injury, or other crises. This role is responsible for providing emotional and practical support to families in need, ensuring that they receive assistance, encouragement, and resources during challenging moments. From organizing meal trains and financial aid efforts to coordinating the delivery of flowers and sympathy gifts on behalf of the organization, the Crisis Support Chair ensures that no family within the LPD community faces hardship alone.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary contact for families in need of crisis support, providing guidance and assistance.
Organize support efforts, such as meals, financial aid, or emergency resources.
Coordinate the sending of flowers, gifts, and condolences on behalf of the organization.
Work closely with community partners and service providers to connect families with additional support.
Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling crisis situations.
Develop protocols for responding to family emergencies and training volunteers in crisis support roles.
